During your visit to Cuba, you can expect the weather to range from hot and humid to well, just plain hot and humid! However, this Caribbean oasis can sometimes experience short spells of cool weather but don’t expect it to last long.

The first time I visited Cuba was in December, and I absolutely loved the warm weather as I was escaping the chilling temperatures in New York City. I’m also a huge fan of the humidity. I know, call me crazy!

Cuba has no shortage of activities to do and sights to see. Before I visited Cuba, I daydreamed about touring the sensational capital, La Habana, in a 1950s cherry-red Chevy jamming to ‘Rie y Llora’ by Celia Cruz. I would have a bottle of rum in one hand and a cigar that I could barely smoke in the other hand.  

Cuba is one of the few places in the world where I feel the most celebrated and welcomed. During my first trip, I noticed the apparent cultural similarities between Nigeria, where my family hails, and Afro-Cubans.
