Flights
Google Flights
Google Flights is always the first site I visit when searching for flights because it is easy to use. It also allows me to check prices against different airline websites to ensure I get the best deal!
Skyscanner
Skyscanner is another site I use that doesn’t disappoint! This site will search smaller websites to find the cheapest and best flight deals and allows you to search for specific rates or month-long ranges.
Skiplagged
Words can’t express how much I love Skiplagged! This site searches for cheap flights and hotels. My favorite feature of the site is the hidden-city ticketing option. Instead of flying from A to B and connecting onwards to C, you hop off the flight at point B and don’t continue to the flight’s final destination.
Hopper
I love me some Hopper! I use Hopper to help determine the best time to purchase my flights. You can download the app from the Apple store to your phone, plug in the dates you are looking to travel and receive an alert about the best time to purchase plane tickets.
Accommodation
Airbnb
When it comes to searching for accommodation, my go-to is Airbnb. I prefer having my own place, which is an excellent alternative to staying at a hotel.
Booking.com
Booking.com is my favorite website for finding incredibly affordable accommodations. I like this website because it has a no-money-down policy, unique selections ranging from high-end luxurious penthouses to bungalows, and the best rates online.
HOSTELWORLD
Hostal World is ideal, especially for backpackers and budget travelers! I like the site because it has tons of hostels to pick from and provides a 100% booking guarantee with no booking fees.
VRBO
This website is great for vacation rentals. You have a choice of over 2 million listings of vacation rentals that are ideal to fit your budget.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance
Safety first, and always get insurance! Travel insurance is essential and gives me peace of mind that I’m covered should anything unexpected happen. World Nomads is my preferred travel insurance plan as it covers lost documents, theft, lost luggage, emergency prescriptions, and other issues like natural disasters, terrorism, and civil war.
Insubuy
I highly recommend Insubuy for my international friends visiting the United States. It provides medical and travel-related coverage for international people visiting the United States.
Transportation
Rentalcars.com
Rentalcars.com is an excellent site for finding competitive pricing for multiple rental car providers in a specific destination. I also enjoy having the flexibility of having access to a car when I’m abroad.
EcononyBookings
This searches over 20,000 rental shops in 150 countries. What’s great about this site is it offers car pick locations relatively close to airports, so you aren’t spending extra funds on additional transfers.
BikesBooking.com
This site is excellent for reserving motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles worldwide.
Stay Connected
Airalo
Airalo is an eSIM or a digital SIM card that allows you to download and install a digital data pack to your phone. This eSIM card is amazing because it works in over 200 countries/regions and saves you the hassle of returning home to a high roaming bill!
Essential Remote Work Accessories
Bestek Universal Travel Adapter
This Bestek universal travel adapter is compatible with over 150 countries and allows you to charge up to seven devices at once! Maintaining connectivity is important whether you’re working remotely internationally or within your own country.
OneSimCard Universal 3-in-One SIM Card
To make your travel experience more budget-friendly and convenient, consider getting the OneSimCard Universal 3-in-One card. This versatile SIM card is compatible with most unlocked smartphones and offers uninterrupted cellphone service in most countries across the globe. It’s a valuable addition for your on-the-go adventures!
SIMO Solis Lite 4G LTE Portable WiFi Mobile Hotspot
This portable WiFi hotspot has become a must-have in my travel kit! What’s so fantastic about it is that it offers flexible, no-contract data plans, provides 250 MB of global data every 7 days for free, and even doubles as a charger for other devices while you’re on the move. Plus, it’s so compact that it easily fits right into my pocket – I can’t get enough of it!
Tour Companies
Viator
I love the variety of experiences Viator has to offer. From visiting the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City to taking cooking classes in Barcelona, Viator is one of my go-to’s for fun and memorable tours. I also love that most experiences include transportation. This comes in handy, especially when I am in another country!
GetYourGuide
GetYourGuide is another personal favorite of mine for finding unique activities that other tour companies don’t offer! The experiences are endless!
GoCity
This site is amazing, especially if you’re on a budget. You can get multi-attractions passes to famous landmarks around the world at a discounted price! Who doesn’t love a deal!?
Big Bus Tours
